Cadarn Housing Group wins housing heroes award
A South Wales housing organisation – Cadarn Housing Group – has won a prestigious prize at the UK Housing Heroes Awards in London today.
The awards were established in 2009 to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the many unsung heroes working in the housing sector.
Cadarn received the Information Technology Team of the Year Award for the development and success of their housing monitoring software – SpriNT. In a short period of time the software has become one of the leading housing monitoring software packages, not just locally, but in over 60 organisations across Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales.
The Cadarn IS Team collected their award at the Hilton Hotel from BBC TV personality Ben Fogle. In total, awards were presented in 15 different categories in an event organised jointly by the Chartered Institute of Housing and Inside Housing magazine.
The Chartered Institute of Housing’s Kathy Hanson said: "For a relatively small team, Cadarn has produced a product that is now being used by 3,500 people. Their efforts have been recognised by the Welsh Assembly and more organisations will be benefiting soon from the software, including 21 Women’s Aid Agencies in Wales. Cadarn IS are worthy winners of their award."
